(CHK) The British automaker’s C-class sedan can confidently compete with fierce rivals like Kia K3 or Hyundai Elantra.
In 2021, the MG6 series received a mid-life version called MG6 Pro in the Chinese market. The new version of MG6 Pro will continue to be launched in the world’s most populous country. This is completely valid information because recently, an image of a model believed to be MG6 Pro has been leaked.
Through leaked images from the test track as well as industrial design registration documents, the design of the MG6 Pro 2023 is quite different from the old version. Not only that, compared to MG5, the size of this C-class sedan is also larger. In particular, in order to attract young customers, the car’s design is also sportier.
The front part of the MG6 Pro 2023 is upgraded with a rather narrow headlight cluster and a sharp triangular design. The large grille is located just below the headlights and is surrounded by a “C” shaped brace. In addition, at the front of the car there are vertical air vents at two corners. Not stopping there, the MG6 Pro 2023 also has a smooth fastback design with a sloping roof. On the side is a set of 5-spoke star-shaped alloy wheels and 2 prominent shoulder lines.
In the rear area, the MG6 Pro 2023 has a rear spoiler and LED taillights located horizontally below. In an image taken of the new MG6 Pro on the test track, the car wears red paint, has a chrome brace below the taillights and a large spoiler.
Interior images and specifications of the MG6 Pro 2023 have not been revealed yet. Meanwhile, the old version of this C-class sedan has a wheelbase of 2,715 mm with dimensions of length x width x height of 4,695 x 1,848 x 1,462 – 1,466 (mm), respectively. MG6 Pro is the model with the longest wheelbase in the C-segment sedan segment.
Some rumors suggest that the MG6 Pro 2023 will use 4-cylinder gasoline engines with a capacity of 1.5L and 2.0L. On the old version, the MG6 Pro uses a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with a capacity of 181 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque, accompanied by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In the C-segment sedan segment, the competitors that MG6 Pro 2023 will face will include Kia K3, Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic.
